The Jasper County Hospital Radiology Department is fully equipped to perform x-rays, digital mammography, CT Scans and MRI. The all-new MRI suite opened in July, 2011. Radiology performs extremity X-Rays on fingers, hands, elbows, shoulders, toes, feet, ankles, legs, neck, spine, chest, sinuses, jaw and facial bones, just to name a few. Gastrointestinal scans are also performed, including stomach, esophagus, colon and gallbladder. Radiology teams with Speech Therapy to perform cookie swallows. In addition, Radiology performs C-Arms and needle localization.
CT scans are performed on the head, abdomen, upper and lower extremities, neck, pelvis, facial bones, chest and more. MRI's are performed on the brain, lumbar and thoracic regions, abdomen, upper and lower extremities and more. Nuclear Medicine offers bone scans, liver/spleen perfusion, lung perfusion, renograms, testicular scans and more.
