Home Infusion Therapy can be provided without sacrificing the quality of medical care. Home infusion allows patients to spend more time in an environment they find comfortable and secure. Patients of all ages can have infusion therapy administered safely in the home under the supervision of a specially trained Registered Nurse.
Antibiotic Therapy involves the administration of antimicrobial drugs to patients with a variety of infections.
Pain Management is important as the disease progresses and the patient is no longer able to tolerate oral medications. Continuous infusion of narcotics through subcutaneous, intravenous or intraspinal routes can be safely and effectively administered in the home. Patients using controlled analgesia (PCA) may actively participate in their pain management.
Chemotherapy infusion may be delivered through continuous infusion in the home. Home chemotherapy also allows the patient to spend less time in the hospital, therefore reducing costs.
Total Parental Nutrition (TPN) is frequently indicated for patients who are unable to meet their nutritional requirements through the oral route for prolonged periods of time. TPN provides the administration of all needed nutrients through a central venous line.
