Jasper County Hospital Rehabilitation and Sports Therapy Department provides Athletic Training services to area high schools. Athletic trainers prevent, assess and treat athletic and athletic related injuries. They work in conjunction with physical therapists, physicians and area coaches to rehabilitate patients.
The Hospital's Certified Athletic Trainers are available to help student athletes or weekend sport enthusiasts, who need rehabilitation following an athletic injury.
The primary goal of the Hospital's Certified Athletic Trainers is to help athletes prevent injury or return to normal activity in a rapid and safe manner following an injury.
Athletic Trainers are an integral part of the Rehabilitation and Sports Therapy Department providing evaluation, management and treatment of injury. Athletic Trainers work closely with the Hospital's Physical Therapists and the athlete's physician to treat musculoskeletal injuries.
