We are looking to employ motivated LPN's for PRN shifts. Must enjoy working with the elderly, must be quality and safety minded, must possess good communication skills and excellent attendance is a requirement. The Alternacare staff functions as a team and you will be expected to be a team player. A valid Indiana nursing license is required. CPR, if not current, can be obtained after hire. Dementia certification required, can obtain after hire.

Must have good verbal and written communication skills.  Must be able to climb a ladder, lift up to 35 pounds, bend, kneel, and reach. Must be able to use and mix chemicals correctly. Will train.  Must be able to work well with others.

Hospice Volunteers Needed

Jasper County Hospital Home Health Care and Hospice is currently recruiting new volunteers for our hospice program. Volunteers provide caregiver relief and companionship, deliver medicine or assist with office work. They are an important part of our hospice team. Volunteers are needed in Kentland, Morocco, Lake Village, Roselawn, Wheatfield and Rensselaer areas. K.V. Health Centre

Nursery Attendant

Shift: Part time: variable, evenings.

The nursery attendant will be responsible for the following; making sure that each parent/guardian has been informed of the rules pertaining to the childcare room and has signed a waiver regarding these issues.  Each time a child is brought to the childcare room, their parent/guardian must sign their child both in and out of the childcare room.  Children in the nursery attendant’s care must remain in the childcare room at all times.  Depending on the ages of children left under nursery attendant’s care, it is the attendant’s responsibility to inform the Fitness Coordinator/ Manager or Assistant Fitness Coordinator/ Manager on duty when the childcare room has reached its capacity or if additional help is required.  Toys are to be disinfected daily.

Aerobics Instructor (water and land)

Shift: Part-time; Early morning 4-5 classes per week.

Aerobic activities are to be instructed as scheduled by the aerobic coordinator.  Must attend workshops for continued education.  Update routines every 6-8 weeks.  Mandatory attendance at instructor meetings.  If unable to instruct a scheduled class, it is the aerobic instructor responsibility to arrange coverage for that class.  Will train the correct individual if necessary.

Fitness Attendants will be responsible for specific tasks during their shift including:  Preparing the facility for business by performing opening/closing responsibilities.  Completing paperwork for member enrollment.  Answering telephone calls and dealing with customer relations.  Assisting members with the operation of exercise machines.  Filing completed paperwork to designated locations.  Entering guest information into computer system.  Enforcing club rules.  Helping maintain cleanliness of facility.  Stocking standard use forms for daily operations.  Monitoring water levels in the pool and spa.  Additional tasks may be delegated specifically by Wellness Coordinator/Manager or Assistant Wellness Coordinator/Manager.  Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs (water bottles).

Physical Therapist

Shift: Full-time; days; 10 days/biweekly pay period.

Licensed in Indiana to practice physical therapy, CPR certified; must have friendly personality and the ability to work well with others. Treatment settings include inpatient, outpatient and home health clients.

Respiratory Therapist

Full-time; 6-12 hour shifts; days and/or nights.

Perform diagnostic evaluations.  Required to work in minimal supervision according to Jasper County Hospital policies and procedures.  Must be capable of independent judgment in taking appropriate actions in a timely manner.  Must have good verbal and written communication skills in combination with tact in dealing with patients/families, medical referral sources and coworkers.  Must possess good hearing, ability to climb stairs, ability to verbalize, comprehend, read, write and speak English.  Must be able to work various shifts; 6-12 hours per shift, including weekends and holidays.  Must have CPR certificate, ACLS, PALS at all times.  Must be Registered or Certified RT Therapist.  Must possess a valid IN RT license.
