Diagnostic Imaging

Echocardiographer/Cardiac Sonographer

Shift: Part-time

JCH is looking for a part time Echocardiographer/Cardiac Sonographer to perform routine and emergency echocardiograms, including but not limited to 2-dimensional, 3-dimensional, Doppler, and Stress Echocardiogram, as requested by physician and in accordance with standard practices. No nights, weekends, or call.  

  • Practices proper and accurate entries and records on Hospital Information System.
  • Operates equipment necessary to perform all required procedures and to obtain optimal diagnostic recording
  • Utilize ancillary devices such as selected transducers, digital networking system , off-line analysis systems
  • Analyze patient’s medical record to obtain necessary information for performance of diagnostic procedure
  • Participate in quality improvement activities

Dietary Manager

Shift: Part-time; 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

C.D.M. preferred.  Experience in healthcare food service a plus, but willing to train.  Responsibilities include patient care and staff supervision.  Work as Manager a minimum of 4 days per 2-week period, with potential for more days.  (Will cross-train to work other dietary positions.)

Education Coordinator

Shift: Part-time

To oversee, direct and/or coordinate Hospital educational activities for all departments. To recommend and develop policies and procedures related to the institutional educational program. To assist in development and implementation of patient teaching.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Written and verbal communication skills are required to prepare documentation and presentation of education material.
• Visual and auditory ability to view audiovisual material, assess employees written and clinical tests, prepare documentation, work with clinical nursing equipment.

Pharmacy

Pharmacy Technician

Shift: 7a-3:30p or 8a-4:30m, weekdays and weekends

The pharmacy technician is responsible for assisting the pharmacist in preparation and distribution of medications for administration to inpatients and outpatients at Jasper County Hospital. This also includes assisting in the maintenance of files and records necessary for the distribution of medications, including charges for medications, paperwork required for controlled substance documentation, and other documentation as required by Federal and State agencies.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Upon completion of specific training, will prepare compounded IV admixtures and chemotherapy admixtures as the pharmacist requests.
Place and check in the daily wholesale drug order. This includes placing stickers on the drug containers and stocking them on the shelves. For items not coming in the order, alternative sources of ordering may need to be found.
Deliver medications to restock Omnicell dispensing machines.
Assist pharmacist with delivery of daily IV medication cart.
Check stock for outdates in assigned areas and remove from stock and reorder as required.
Assist in labelling, mixing and delivery of medications under the pharmacist supervision.

Physical Therapist

Occupational Therapist

Shift: Full-time; days; 10 days/biweekly pay period.

Facilitates development and rehabilitation of patients with mental, emotional, and physical disabilities by planning and administering medically prescribed occupational therapy. Licensed in Indiana to practice OT; CPR certified; must have friendly personality and the ability to work well with others. Treatment settings may include outpatient, acute care and home health. Pediatric experience preferred.

Athletic Trainer

Shift: Full-time; days

Provide athletic training services to school-age and college student-athletes in accordance with State Athletic Training Practice Act; to educate the public on injury prevention, rehabilitation, wellness and other health-related issues; and to maintain the highest standards of care and integrity.

• Provide athletic training service in various settings including, but not limited to clinical, high school, collegiate and industrial.

PSG

Shift: Full-time; 6:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m.

Cardiopulmonary provides direct teaching and evaluation services within their scope of practice to the patients referred to Jasper County Hospital Cardiopulmonary Services for respiratory care, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, sleep/EEG, industrial field testing, long-term care facilities and /or other high-tech equipment services.

Essential Job Functions:  Initiation and maintenance of good professional relationships with area physicians, hospitals, extended care facilities, home health agencies and any additional health care providers or lay groups in support of the Hospital’s marketing objectives. Development and delivery of clerical education to other health care providers, extended care facilities or the lay public.

Performs Respiratory Therapy Services, Cardiopulmonary Rehab, and Sleep/EEG testing or series within their scope of practice, completed competencies and per physicians orders. Must be able to manage down time appropriately, limiting personal phone calls, texting and or face-to-face encounters.  Reports to work on time and follows absenteeism policy. Must be able to exhibit professional behavior at all times.  Has ability to verbalize, comprehend, read and legibly write English.  Ability to move and function well during stress and emergency situations.  Must have an even temperament and the ability to withstand pressure while remaining calm.  Must be able to recognize that body language and /or a tone of voice are important and can be misinterpreted.  Must preserve patient confidentiality and knowledge of Jasper County Hospital practices, policies and procedures are required.
