ProgramsThere are many programs with which our members can become involved. Children's Programs: Our children's programs include swim lessons, Fit Kids aerobics and Youth in Motion.
Fitness Evaluations: Fitness Evaluations are available by appointment and for an additional fee. For the Fitness Evaluation, a member is tested in several areas by a degreed Exercise Specialist or a Certified Personal Trainer. A second meeting is arranged to discuss results of tests and a specific program recommendation is made to the member. The program is designed according to personal goals and the baseline level of fitness. Personal Training: Personal Training is offered throughout the year at KV Health Centre to help you fulfill your fitness goals. When you purchase a Personal Training package, you will receive a personalized evaluation which will consist of the 5 aspects of wellness, Muscular strength and endurance, Cardiovascular endurance, flexibility and body composition. Based on your goals and evaluation results, we will work with you to set up a program designed specifically for you and your needs. Personal Training Services:

Contact KV Health Centre at (219) 956-4811 and ask to speak with the personal trainer or to set up an initial appointment. Motivational Membership Games: Motivational membership games are offered throughout the year to encourage continued physical activity. Prizes are offered as part of the games. Groups - KV Health Centre will accommodate groups of all kinds who wish to use the facility including schools. Please contact the Centre for details on group usage. Group Exercise Classes: Several exercise classes are offered at KV Health Centre, including those listed below.Cycling Interval: A fast paced combination of cycling and toning. Never get bored in this challenging interval training class.
Cardio Blast: A moderate to high impact cardio class that incorporates strength training and core moves.
Cardio Camp: A boot-camp style cardio class that will have you moving and sweating. Expect the unexpected. Lots of variety; lots of fun!
Core Crazy: Intense class targeting the core, using weights and body weight.
FBMB (Full Body Medicine Ball): Full body medicine ball workout focusing on core and strength.
Full Body Blitz: Work your body from head to toe in this full body toning class. Upper body, lower body and abs all in one!
Group Cycling: A moderate to intense 30 minute class led by an instructor who will push you to become your best. *Limited spaces are available, so sign up at the front desk. Personal music head phones are not permitted on bikes during class.
Hardbodies: Strengthen your body from head to toe in this total body sculpting class.
Light & Lively: This low impact class will get you up and moving. Includes both aerobics and strength training on the ball.
Quick Step: Fun combinations and choreography will keep you moving in this step class!
Trekking: A 30 minute treadmill class to train both walkers and runners. Instruction involves using speed and hill grade to vary intensities. *Limited spaces are available, so sign up at the front desk. Personal music head phones are not permitted on treadmills during class.
Walk and Be Fit: This class is designed to get you up and on your feet and keep you moving through a fast pace walk on the treadmill, while incorporating 2 or 3 pound weights. A gentle cool down and yoga stretch will be done at the end of the session. *Limited spaces are available, so sign up at the front desk. Personal music head phones are not permitted on treadmills during class.
Watercize: Work your entire body with low impact aerobics in the water. From high intensity heart pumping cardio, to stretching and flexibility; this class offers something for everyone.
Water Fitness: Aerobic exercise and muscle conditioning in the water. This is a low impact class that enhances your endurance and works your entire body.
Yoga Stretch: Start your morning right with a series of yoga based stretches.
Zumba: This class fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and basic choreography to create a dynamic aerobic workout that gets your body moving and heart pumping! If you have specific questions about aerobics classes, please call (219) 956-4811. Everyone who attends an aerobics class becomes registered for a drawing to win all sorts of prizes. Drawings are held monthly. To view the aerobics schedule, click here. Child CareChild Care is offered as a convenience to our members. Child care is available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.; and Monday through Thursday from 4:15 - 8:00 p.m.
Fitness HoursKV Health Centre is open to its members and guests Monday through Friday from 5:30 am to 8:30 pm. Saturday hours are 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. From January through March, the Centre is open on Sundays from 1-5 pm.
