The State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) is a free & unbiased counseling program provided by the Indiana Department of Insurance for Medicare beneficiaries in Indiana. SHIP is part of a federal network of State Health Insurance Assistance Programs located in every state. SHIP provides health insurance counseling for people with Medicare. All SHIP services are free.
SHIP is not affiliated with any insurance company or agency and does not sell insurance.
Open enrollment for Medicare is October 15th - December 7th, 2012. Assistance is availabe to help you compare drug plans and decide what is the best option for you. Assistance is also available for reduced price or free drugs through this program. The SHIP counselor will help determine if you qualify for this program and to help with the application process.
