Jasper County Hospital's new cutting-edge 1.5T magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system - the Vantage powered by Atlas™ - from Toshiba America Medical Systems delivers unmatched image quality that allows faster imaging times, quick and accurate diagnosis and maximum patient comfort.
"Local residents now have access to an MRI system with state-of-the-art technology that is designed with exceptional patient care and comfort in mind," said Cindy Reed, Director of Radiology at Jasper County Hospital. "The Vantage not only decreases imaging time, which is a great benefit to patients, but the imaging quality is second-to-none."
The new Atlas system design features an integrated coil concept that allows clinicians to perform multiple exams without repositioning the patient. This will mean more comfortable examination experiences and will result in enhanced technologist productivity.
Featuring some of the most advanced MRI applications in the industry, the Vantage utilizes Toshiba's patented noise reduction technology, dramatically reducing acoustic noise, which is often considered the most significant cause of patient discomfort during an MRI examination.
The MRI installation is part of a $15 million addition to and renovation of the Hospital. For more information about the new MRI system, or other radiological services at Jasper County Hospital, please call (219) 866-5141, extension 2051, or toll free (888) 511-5141, extension 2051.
