Getting Started

Cardiac rehabilitation is an ongoing process of comprehensive care to individuals who are recovering from a heart attach, heart surgery or those prone to heart disease.

Entry requirements for the program include:

    Blood Lipid Profile

A structured rehabilitation program offers many potential benefits:

    Cardiovascular and general physical fitness
    Enhanced quality of daily living
Reduced occupational losses and future care costs
Reduced blood pressure and heart rate at rest
Efficient cardiac response to sudden physical or emotional demands
    Improved physical stamina
Reduced probability of having another or an initial heart attack; reduced probability that a subsequent attack might be severe

The program is conducted with the guidance of a Board Certified Cardiologist. A team of health professionals prescribe and monitor individualized exercise prescriptions and diet.
